This week’s wrap up includes an update from Dominic Killalea in relation to COVID-19, plus we farewell Art teacher Lou Wycherley who retired on 1 May. The Shakespeare Society have been rehearsing online and we share a special lockdown edition of Fresh Avocado. In addition, we follow the 48 hour Film Festival online, celebrate alumnus Jack Buchanan’s Lockdown Boogie success and introduce CSW’s esports competition. Also including information from Simply Dental about the services they are currently able to offer.
The Wrap Up is back! Including important information for supporting students wellbeing we also share results of the International Department homestay bubble positivity challenge. Students and staff share their creativity and success in Fashion and film making. With this, plus updates from alumni and a message to all from student leaders across Wellington schools, this Wrap Up is proof that although we are at Level 4 lockdown, there is much that is positive to celebrate.
COVID-19 update 21.4.2020
With the announcement that NZ will move to Level 3 lockdown next week, this update includes information about schooling at Level 3. If you are parent or caregiver for a student in Year 9 or 10 please read and provide intentions for your student to assist with our planning for this level.
Year 9 students are invited to select the language that they will continue studying for the rest of the year.
Congratulations to Sophie Mance who has been awarded the prestigious 2020 Girdlers’ Scholarship. This will enable her to study Natural Sciences at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.
This final wrap up of the term includes a link to the Principal’s message for the end of Term 1, information about reports and careers activities that all students could complete from home. In addition, we share photos of the chalk messages left by students on Monday and photos from our garden.

In an exceptional week, you might expect that we would not have much else to report, however, this week the Wrap Up features success in both rowing and Waka Ama plus insight into our first Dance with Me workshop, our property planning consultation, Unity Picnic plus visits to VUW and Space Place.
