English Language Requirements
English Language Lessons English language lessons are compulsory for international students and are part of daily lessons. We have a full time, permanently staffed English Language (EL) department and there is no extra fee for the English Language programme.
There is no formal English language requirement at Wellington High School and most students’ English language skills are assessed when they arrive. They are then placed into as many classes as they need to improve their language as quickly as possible to be able to join more of the mainstream classes.
