DVC teacher Rowan Heap has received Best Design Award for his non-verbal illustrated narrative Tokitoki and James Caddell. This week we celebrate his success and share images from his book. This week we start with important information for seniors re: exams and study leave. From then on there is much to celebrate starting with our Halloween Junior Dance,! It’s been an amazing week in the Arts with news of our Year 13 Arts exhibition, record acceptances to Toi Whakaari and success in the Manawatu Jazz festival. He Kākano competed in the Athletes with Disabilities swimming competition and Year 12 Physics students visited Aurecon. Visit the full Wrap Up for all this and much much more.
This week the Wrap Up includes news of success at national level in Underwater Hockey, achievements at a local level in a brand new 24 hour theatre challenge. We thank our student librarians, follow He Kākano in Science and Art and follow students in the 24 hour challenge at the Gryphon Theatre.
In this weeks Wrap Up we celebrate students who have been awarded scholarships from Victoria University for study in 2021, watch our EPro8 teams in competition, and follow Year 13 Outdoor Education students as they navigate the Whanganui River. We also acknowledge the passing of alumnus Eddie Tonks, CBE former chair and life member of the NZRFU.
