Rachel Linton (Year 12 ) was presented with a Silver medal for her entry in the Pasta Main Course class of the 2012 Culinary Fare competition held at the Food Show Wellington. She was placed second, one point behind the winner, who also received a Silver Medal. Rachel’s dish was a goats cheese and pumpkin ravioli served with walnut sauce, of which she had to serve four identical portions within an hour. Rachel was not only the youngest competitor in this class but the only one from a secondary school, all other competitors are trainees from tertiary providers or industry. Also congratulations to Natalie Randall who trained Rachel for this event. Well done Rachel.
