Mereana Latimer was awarded a Discovery Science Scholarship, a scientific scholarship for Maori students by Victoria University. Mereana will receive 2 weeks of lab experience at Victoria University next January, and will also be awarded a $1,000 grant. Mereana also received a Victoria University Achiever’s Scholarship.
Year 11 student, Henry Tutaka, recently received the College Sport Wellington Sportsman of the Year 2012 Service to Sport award. He also received a Sport NZ Wellington Region Sport Volunteer award. On Thursday 17 November Prue Kelly was awarded the Wellingtonian of the Year in the category of Education. Prue is retiring at the end of the year and this award is further recognition of the fantastic job she has done in transforming Wellington High School into the coeducational school of choice for Wellington families.
