Open Evening Timetable Change

We have adjusted the timetable for all current students to allow time for staff to put the final touches onto the event while not impacting on the students time in class. This adjusted timetable is as follows with the day finishing at 2.40pm:

Period 1 – as normal (8.45am – 9.40am)
Interval – as normal (9.40am – 10.00am)
Period 2 – as normal (10.00am – 11.00am)
Period 3 – 11.00 – 12pm (no rōpū)
Lunch – 12 – 12.40pm (short lunch)
Period 4 – 12.40pm – 1.40pm
Period 5 – 1.40pm – 2.40pm

School bus times will be unchanged.

Year 12 & Year 13 Career Expo

NZ_Careers_Web_logoOn Friday 17 June, all year 12 and 13 students will be given the opportunity to visit the Careers Expo at TSB arena.

The expo is open from 10am to 3pm on Friday 17 June and Saturday 18 June so families can visit on the Saturday. This is an opportunity to find out more about a wide range of career choices. Students have been completing relevant preparatory work in rōpū classes at school.

Students are expected to be outside TSB arena at 9.55am to have their name marked off with entry from 10am. Students will have about an hour to browse the information and talk to relevant people, then they will make their own way back to school to commence classes at 11.20am for the rest of the day. There are no scheduled senior classes from 10.00am to 11.20am on this day.

It is a school day and students are expected to observe the same high levels of conduct at the arena that they would display at school.

Bus Changes for # 713

As from Monday 20 June 2016, the Route 713 service will be altered to provide a more direct route from Miramar to the Basin Reserve schools. The Route 713 service will no longer go via Seatoun and will be extended from the Basin Reserve to terminate at WEGC. It has also been retimed so that it will depart Miramar at the earlier time of 7.45am (previously 8.00am).

There is spare capacity on the existing Route 711 service to the Basin Reserve for the students who currently get on the Route 713 service at Seatoun.  This change is due to overloading on the Route 712 service from Miramar, meaning some students are unable to get on the bus at all as gets full around the Rotherham Terrace area, and will provide an alternative direct service from Miramar to WEGC.

There is no change to the Route 711 or 712 services.

The new Route 713 timetable and route will be as per the attached picture. image003 (1)
