What’s Happening

Horticulture

Level 3 Horticulture students harvested 25 kg of kūmara on Monday. That’s a lot of kūmara for a climate that supposedly can’t grow kūmara!

Youth Week

Our team at Te Tai Ohinga have been working hard behind the scenes to bring our very first Youth Week to life – and we’re excited to share what we’ve got planned!

We’re going big this year with a full week of awesome events happening at our youth hub for rangatahi, including a special after-dark evening run by our crew.

Throughout the week we’ll be hosting:

  • Monday 19 May  – the official Youth Week Launch with Ara Taiohi
  • Tuesday 20 May – a chill day as usual day at the youth hub
  • Wednesday 21 May  – a Paint n Sip style craft session with Youthline
  • Thursday 22 May – A Youth Expo led by Volunteer Wellington
  • Friday 23 May – Te Pō Whai Wāhi – our very own After Dark night run by the Te Tai Ohinga team at The Y
  • Saturday 24 May – the first ever Youth 4 Climate Action event  – dreamed up and driven by young people
There is something for everyone and as always, all events are totally free for rangatahi
