Powering Potential

powering-potential-website-banner-72dpiRose MacKenzie, has just heard of her acceptance on the Royal Society’s prestigious Powering Potential programme.

Rose is delight to have been chosen for one of the 40 places for the five-day event to be held in Wellington in December. Working with like-minded students Rose will be developing leadership and problem-solving skills to compliment her top academic performance.  Powering Potential also links in with the National Strategic Plan for Science in Society ‘A Nation of Curious Minds’ by encouraging youth into science and technology-based careers and developing entrepreneurial thinking.

This is the second year running that a student from Wellington High has been selected: in 2015 Tess Brietenmoser took part.
