Winter Sports Fees
A reminder to all that all winter sports fees should have been paid, if you have not done so, can these please be paid by Friday 10th June
We are now well into Term 2 and much has happened already. During Term 1, we had visits from every university in NZ as well as a number of representatives from other training and information organisations. They came to talk to interested students at lunchtimes.
During Term 1, a focus for me as Careers Adviser, was to meet with as many Year 13 students as possible (those who had expressed an interest to meet and chat and those who indicated that they needed help). Term 2 sees me now following up meeting requests with interested Year 12 students.
A lot of Careers related information about visitors, events and opportunities is available on the school notices. Students are encouraged to keep up to date with this and this can also be accessed by parents via the parent portal and the Weekly Wrap Up
Careers Expo (Fri 17 June and Sat 18 June – 10.00am – 3.00pm)

This year, we will again give the opportunity for ALL our Years 12 and 13 students to attend this event. Currently, Ropu Teachers have started some preparation work with students so that they are in a good position to make the most of this opportunity. After the Expo, there will also be some follow up with students. We wish to encourage parents/caregivers to try to make some time also to attend – on either day – and to have some conversations at home.

Year 11 Outdoor Education Tramp
The night of the big electrical storm here in Wellington, the Year 11 Outdoor Education students were safely tucked up in a hut in the Tararuas. Over the four days they experienced snow, hail and horizontal rain and had a fantastic time.
We’re going to be wearing our Wigs on Wednesday 22 June to fundraise for the Child Cancer Foundation.
Wear your wig and bring a gold coin (or more) donation to be part of it!
