Observatory Trip

Year 10 Enrichment Science took a field trip to the Carter Observatory last week to explore the role of Astronomy in our everyday lives. The usually robust Q&A at the end was more subdued (with questions being written down) as many of the students were observing Day of Silence.

We hosted Year 8s from South Wellington Intermediate School on Tuesday afternoon. This event gave these students a taste of Wellington High School in preparation of joining us next year as Year 9s.

We are heading into an event packed last couple of weeks of term. Don’t forget to join us on our Facebook page as well to keep up to date.

Concert For Nepal

A fundraiser which saw many staff performing at Meow raised $2046 for the orphanage that WHS supports in Nepal. An absolutely outstanding result.
