Parent Portal

During the week parents/caregivers/whanau will have received an email with Parent Portal Login information.  This portal is an important way to keep track of student progress, attendance, notices, reports and timetable.  If you haven’t received login details, please email admin@whs.school.nz

School Photographs

School photos are coming up in Week Two (Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 February).  Students have been sent home with envelopes for ordering photos.   These can be returned on the day of the photos being taken

PLEASE tell your student if you are ordering a portrait photograph as, if they are unaware of this, they won’t know to stay behind after their ropu photo is taken.

SprintAthletics Carnival

WHS Athletics is to be held on Friday 26 February at Newtown Park.  Please encourage your student to participate as fully as possible from the dressing in colours to the actual athletic sports.  It is always a really fun day.

Sports Sign Up

Students at Wellington High School have a wide range of sporting activities available to them. Through sport we aim to provide students with positive experiences of fun, individual achievement and the satisfactions of team participation, success, commitment, responsibility and fair play.  You can find the sports booklet here and sign up for summer sports is now urgent.

Transport – Buses & Bikes

Please note that the carpark becomes very congested after school and so care & patience is required.  We do have a few school specific buses that leave from WHS each day.  We encourage the use of them to ease congestion.  The school specific bus timetable is below.

Route Depart From  To
726 8.05am Island Bay Wellington High School
729 3.30pm Wellington High School Island Bay
719 3.30pm Wellington High School Miramar North

A large number of students are bringing motorcycles and scooters to school as well.  Please ask them to be careful about how they park and when traversing around other bikes and vehicles as we’ve already had a couple of ‘dings’ to parked vehicles.
