R& G and the Queen

A play by Jean Betts, which was last performed at High in 1997 when Jean’s son Charlie was at High and performed in the play, was the Yr 13 production this term.  For those of you lucky enough to see the performance I am sure you would have been rolling around in your seat with laughter.

In the play many of the parts were taken by the opposite sex and the students made superb jobs of portraying their characters.  Hannah Wilson and Lily Uivel were superb sharing Ophelia and Anthony Young’s calm portrayal of Hamlet’s mother was fantastically done with the skilful use of eloquent hand movements.  In fact everyone from Madelaine Empson’s Hamlet to Dylan Satherley’s Laertes to Alice Leslie’s the old woman were wonderful. Well done Allie and Yr 13.
Special thanks to the La Hattes and the Glovers for coffee and cup cakes.
