April 13 1886 Wellington High School's predecessor began as Wellington School of Design.

April 22 - 24 2011 we will all celebrate 125 years of education at; the School of Design which became Wellington Technical School (1891) which became Wellington Technical College (1905) which became Wellington High School (1964)  when Wellington Polytechnic became a separate entity.

It is tenatatively planned to hold

2011

April 22 3pm Friday with a reception and catch up

April 23  Saturday 10am Official opening and roll call, photos, historical displays, sports games, tours food and fun
                           Evening several functions to choose from a formal dinner
                                                                                                   a buffet dinner and dance
                                                                                                   a dance and supper
                                                                                                   a concert

April 24 Sunday 11am Farewell function
